Portis is back, and stronger than over, looking to help lead the Red Skins to the Super Bowl. You may remember that Portis went down in the off season and many considers the Skin’s season to be over before it began.
“That’s going to open up our offense,” said Portis, who ran for a franchise-record 1,516 yards last year. “Our offense starts with the running game, first and foremost. That’s going to open up the passing. Just having the opportunity to carry the team on your back, you want to do it. Hurt shoulder or not, I want to do that.”
The Skins play the Texans on Sunday.
